Do you think comics are a children's or adult genre/media?
I have always thought that reading content is very subjective. Comic books are very personal in a way in which content can be extremely different depending on which comic you are reading. I think just because a comic book may have pictures in it doesn’t mean that an adult cant enjoy it and vice versa I think just because comics have cartoon images in them doesn’t make them for solely for children
Michael Farr referred to Tintin's universal appeal as “Stretching from his birthplace in Brussels to corners of the world far more obscure than those he reached in his globe-trotting adventures, has a rock solid foundation in reality, enabling him to transcend fashion, age and nationality.” Farr (1991).I think interlacing all of these factors into a comic help it to become different and exciting which is what the Tintin comics have entirely achieved. I think when an author writes a comic they indeed have a audience in mind, that can definitely determine who reads the comic. For example there are the classic Tintin comics, these comics are very much thought of to be an age appropriate reading content for people of all ages. Tintin is very popular amongst adults and children alike, the author I think had all ages in mind when creating the comics.

Well, that's the case apply for those which children have yet the ability to justify it like horror, killing, sex and so on. Apart from that comics in general also encourage children in reading and imagination. Moreover, we adult also have responsibility in guiding them. Many comics out there have a little dark theme but still emphasize the humane of a human. As prohibition only lead to they doing things themselves, all we need is guide them to the right track after all.
